Founded in 1979, RIOU GLASS is a French family-owned mid cap company specialising in designing smart glass solutions and products to promote wellbeing, comfort and securety for all. Currently managed by second-generation family member Christine RIOU FERON, RIOU GLASS generates consolidated revenue of over €200 million, making it a major European player helping to drive technological development in its sector thanks to its capacity to invest and innovate. Since FOR TALENTS became a shareholder in 2022, RIOU GLASS has aspired to become a European leader by expanding its product range and extending its territorial coverage.
Created in 1964, the GLASS INVEST group, the parent company of Belgian companies EUROGLAS-DE LANDTSHEER, SAFETYGLASS and INDUSTRIAL GLASS PROCESSING (IGP), is a key player in the processing of flat glass, specialising in tempered, laminated products (glazed doors, interior partitions, shower screens, etc.) and related accessories (fittings, hinges, etc.) for the building and decorating sectors. It has grown by making two acquisitions: SAFETYGLASS in 2006, followed in late 2017 by the acquisition of IGP by long-standing company EUROGLAS-DE LANDTSHEER. It posted consolidated revenue of more than €31 million in 2021 and employs 160 people.
The acquisition of a majority stake in the Belgian group enables RIOU GLASS to continue its international expansion and supplement its product offering, while strengthening its presence in northern France. RIOU GLASS intends to achieve industrial and commercial synergies in their respective historical markets, fostered by value-sharing and complementary industrial know-how. RIOU GLASS will be able to count on the management team in place, reinvesting in the company as part of this transaction. Thanks to this acquisition, RIOU GLASS' revenue will reach nearly €260 million.
