Founded in 1974, the BOUCHERIE ROUENNAISE Group is composed of some thirty traditional butcher?s shops located in the north of France.
With over 45 years of experience and a comprehensive offering, the Group generates revenues of around €30 million. It operates local butcher?s shops under its two brands, BVM and TRADIVIA, together with butcher?s counters under the CARREFOUR brand. Its operations are 100% traditional (no pre-cut products in blister packaging) and aimed directly at end-consumers.
In addition to its main activity, BOUCHERIE ROUENNAISE is also expanding in the catering business through its AU PETIT GOURMET department.
The Group has been sold to GH, a company set up during this transaction by a former executive of the CARREFOUR Group and the founding manager of the NOVOVIANDE group, a major player in the French butcher shop market, which operates around forty butchers? outlets, in particular under the GRAND FRAIS banner. This acquisition will enable GH to achieve significant synergies with the BOUCHERIE ROUENNAISE Group and to expand in the retail butchers segment.
Thanks to the two groups? complementary activities, the new group will be able to consolidate its position in a market that has been disrupted over the last few years by new household consumption patterns, with growing demand for traditional distribution, French meat and high quality products.
