St MAMET, created in 1953, is a key player in the market for processed fruit and fruit-based cooking aids, with a leading position in the appertized fruit segment (40% market share).
The company markets its ownbrand and private label products to major retail chains and groups specialized in out-of-home catering. A committed player in sustainable agriculture, ST MAMET has secured a significant part of its supplies by establishing a long-term fair-trade partnership with the 150 tree farmers who are members of the Conserve Gard cooperative, whose orchards are located in Provence and in Languedoc-Roussillon. Headquartered in Nîmes with a plant in Vauvert (Gard), ST MAMET employs nearly 200 permanent employees and up to 600 employees in high season.
ADVISO PARTNERS advised the family office FLORAC on the sale of its majority stake in ST MAMET to the private equity fund HIVEST CAPITAL PARTNERS (€120 million in funds managed) with the support of GROUPE D'AUCY, offering an industrial, strategic and commercial partnership.
This transaction enables ST MAMET to acquire new financial resources to continue its growth and development projects, while forging a strategic alliance with a leading processed vegetable group in France and one of the major players in the tinned market in Europe. Through this partnership, ST MAMET and the GROUPE D'AUCY will be able to strengthen their coverage of the French and international market, expand their offering and provide a better service to their customers.
To support ST MAMET in this new development phase, HIVEST CAPITAL PARTNERS will rely on the management team in place led by Stéphane LEHOUX, as well as on the support of the company's longstanding banking partners.
