Founded 12 years ago by Dominique BEAUMONT, a former retail executive, and later joined by his two sons, Vincent and Matthieu BEAUMONT, UN AUTRE CHEMIN is a group of 5 supermarkets located in the north of France, focusing exclusively on organic products. UN AUTRE CHEMIN offers nearly 11,000 food items, as well as baby products, cosmetics, food supplements, etc.
UN AUTRE CHEMIN employs nearly 30 people and generates turnover of around €10 million. The Group established its reputation in the Hauts-de-France region, going on to become one of the main independent players in the region, implementing a customer-centric strategy for each of its supermarkets (advice on naturopathy, a varied range of in-store events, etc.).
The Group has been acquired by BIOMEN DEVELOPPEMENT, which operates LE MARCHE DE LEOPOLD brand, with 21 organic stores in the Bordeaux region. This marks the first external growth transaction for BIOMEN DEVELOPPEMENT since its LBO with VESPA CAPITAL in June 2019 and expands the group's geographical network in the north of France.
Thanks to the transaction, Dominique BEAUMONT is able to retire, while his two sons continue to develop the company's story within the holding company's shareholding structure and management. The complementary nature of the two groups' networks and management will enable the new group, with annual turnover of nearly €45 million, to play a consolidating role in the very active market for organic produce.
